Yeoman 627

Yesterday a friend let me come pick up this Yeoman 627 and just gave it to me. I plan to try and get it running but at worst it will be spares for Olivia's 616.

Got to use three today!

Spring yard cleanup started today, still dealing with the tree leftovers from last fall. Lots to still clean up. But we used to the Simplicity Broadmoor 738 and Simplicity Yeoman 616 to help haul away stuff we raked up, then used the early Simplicity Broadmoor to help grade out some areas the trees made uneven. Got a lot done!

Abby helps get her 717 ready for spring

After getting the snowblower off her Broadmoor 717, Abby helped me change the oil from the winter weight to the summer weight. She helped me tighten the drain plug and pour the new oil in. She did great!

Simplicity 738 up and running again!

Emma's Simplicity 738 Broadmoor has been sitting for quite some time. It had lost compression a couple years ago and with her not showing much interest anymore with her tractor I had just let it sit. But now I want another tractor up and running to help with chores, as I don't like working these older tractors all year long. So this one will try a hand at mowing this spring. But the engine got new rings, valves, seats, a honing, and a new spark plug, air filter and carb kit. After cleaning out the gas tank and putting fresh f=gas in the tank she fired right up! Excited to use this one this summer, being 8 horsepower, it is the most powerful of the smaller tractors we have.

Plowing vs Snow Blowing?

Last year we had the plow on Abby's 717 Broadmoor and this year we have the blower. I think they both have their advantages. Blowing puts the snow where you want it, but is not fun with a good wind, and plowing is fun(just something about pushing all that weight with brute force), but you can only get the snow piles so high.

Big snowstorm?

Well, we were supposed to get drilled with snow today, but we only got about 6 inches, I think.  No challenge for the Broadmoor 717, that is for sure!

Since the snow hasn't stopped after clearing this morning with the 717 Broadmoor, the Sovereign got to have a little fun with Alex doing the plowing duties.
