Mowing with Allis

Today I went to my brothers and tried mowing with the 1967 Allis Chalmers B207 that I got for my nephews a couple years ago.  I think the deck bearings could be replaced and the blades for sure, but it did an awesome job on the trial run.  Alex and I mowed some and even got some stripes on the lawn!

Busy spring day

The day started out with the Simplicity Sovereign, Serf 535 and Yeoman 616 helping with picking up all the sticks from the yard from the winter.  The kids all pitched in and took a section of the yard.  Then I got the first mow out of the way with the Sovereign.  Later Alex used my wife's Serf 535 to spread grub killer.  Everything ran great and we got a lot done and even had a little fun.

What a difference 8 years makes

Wow, Alex rolling the yard with his Simplicity Broadmoor the first spring he had it, when he was 3 and now when he is 11.  Time flies!
