My nephew tries snow blowing

My nephew Jace got to try plowing today with Olivia's Simplicity 616 Yeoman.  He did very well for his first time out!

It was Abby's turn to help me plow, especially since it is her tractor that's doing it!  She did ok, even though I still have to operate the clutch/brake for her!

Since the kids got a snow day I let Alex try his hand at plowing, since he already used Olivia's tractor with the snow blower.  I think he took care of the last bit of snow from this small storm we got.  He did great at it!

Finally used the Simplicity Broadmoor 717 to move some snow.  I was amazed at how much snow it could push with those chains on the tires.  It did an amazing job at clearing the driveway!

Olivia tried snow blowing for the first time, and should since it is her Simplicity Yeoman 616 that we are using!  She did great, except she didn't care much for the snow being blown in her face.

More fun than work!



So far the Broadmoor 717 has only been used for fun this winter!  Alex had a friend over and brought a snow board so we decided to do some skiing!

So the Simplicity Broadmoor 717 was all ready to go but didn't get to do snow duties, so we decided to have fun instead!!

First snow!

I have had these tractors a long time but I have never used the snow blower attachment, until TODAY!  We got our first snow so my son and I used the Simplicity Yeoman 616 with the snow blower.  It did awesome.  It was actually fun!  

Always good to have a backup

When you are dealing with 50 year old tractors, it never hurts.  The Simplicity 616 Yeoman and 717 Broadmoor are ready for action though.

Ready for winter

Well, I got the snow blower mounted and belted up, the rear weight on and Olivia helped me change the oil over to winter oil so the Yeoman 616 is ready for the snow!  

Leaves, leaves and more leaves!!

Well, it took two passes to get my yard looking good, but oh well.  I seriously need a leaf collection device!!

The Broadmoor gets a workout

For the last mow of the year I mowed my dad's 2 acres with Abby's Broadmoor 717.  It makes beautiful stripes!  The lawn was a little long and pretty thick, so it really provided a good workout for the tractor.  

Bringing the Sovereign home

I brought the Sovereign home this past weekend from my dad's place.  It has been there mowing his 2 acres.  It needed a good cleaning but when Abby heard that she wanted to give her 717 Broadmoor a good scrubbing, too.

Abby asked to wash her Simplicity 717 Broadmoor this afternoon and since it is the main workhorse around the yard it had gotten a little dirty.  She takes great care in getting it clean, and lets face it, she is so darn cute when she does it!

Simplicity Family Portrait 2017

I wasn't able to get a photo of all the kids on their tractors at the show, so I set them up in our yard.  I should try this every year!  Got the kids on their tractors, then the tractors and then I added Mandy's 535 to get all the small frame tractors in one shot.

We used Mandy's Simplicity 535 to help us haul tons of weeds and vines today after cleaning up an area in front of the house.  Just starting to figure out how we want our landscaping.  Wish I had a bigger trailer.  We may use Alex's Broadmoor to try to grade this area, stay tuned!

Back to work

After the fun of the tractor show Olivia's Simplicity Yeoman 616 was the first to get back to work, helping me move a large branch that had fell during a windstorm.  It was on a pretty big slope so I couldn't get a good hold on it by hand, but her tractor pulled it right up.
