White Christmas

 As of Christmas night I have had to plow the driveway three times! Yesterday was very cold, but even at 5 degrees the Sovereign started right up and got the drive plowed.

Bring on the snow

 Got the blade on the Sovereign and the snowblower on Emma's Broadmoor 738. Still have to get the chains on the Broadmoor but we are ready to go!

A bucket for the Sovereign

 Finally got the hitch worked out for the front bucket for the Sovereign. Can't wait to use this next spring!

Playtime is over!!

 Playtime over in a big way! My friend Garret, his son and I were trenching new drain tile for a friend who had a pool installed and they cut through the existing pipes. So we had to trench new lines for three down spouts. I took Olivia's Simplicity Yeoman 616 and even in the 90 degree heat she ran probably 30 loads of pea stone. We also used it for grading the final lines and for grading some pea stone out of our way the pool installers put down. We didn't quite get it done so we need to finish up this weekend. Hopefully it will be cooler!

2022 Mi Steam Engine & Threshers Club meeting

This year's show went over very well. Olivia's 1967 Simplicity 616 Yeoman again took the award for most used during the show, using over two tanks of gas and running every day. Olivia pulled the people wagon, took kids on rides and let friends use her tractor. Izzy's 1967 Simplicity 515 Serf was next up using a solid two tanks of fuel. Hers is always a favorite due to being small and having the dual rear wheels. Several people got to drive it and she used it a couple times, too. All got used except for Alex's, as he was not there much due to soccer commitments. But it was a great show, we all stayed safe and nothing broke!  

 

515 Helps out

 Izzy used her Simplicity 535 Serf to help me move some rocks today. Unfortunately it was the first time her tractor has been fired this year! Took a little persuading but once started it ran well and did the job.

Weedcutter killing it

 Finally did some yard cleanup today. Got the Weedcutter attached to the Sovereign and cleaned up the area on the south side of the house, by Horace's parking spot and behind the soccer net as I needed to get in there and trim branches so our satellite dish can get it's signal!

Abby and her 717 get a turn

 Abby did some mowing tonight with her Simplicity 717. Not bad for a 55 year old, 7hp tractor!

First mow of 2022

 Due to tons of rain I needed to mow part of the yard as the grass was getting very tall. Mandy's Broadmoor 738 got to do first honors this year. Let's see how many tractors get a chance at mowing!

Spring...sort of

 Took the snowblower off of Emma's 738 Broadmoor and did some lawn rolling. And now we have snow coming down again! I don't think it will be enough to stick though, at least.

Sovereign handles the storm

 The storm has passed! Lansing had a record breaking almost 13 inches yesterday. Not sure exactly what we got but it was the most we've had since living here. Had to plow 3 times to keep everything good.

Sovereign comes through

 Well, the Sovereign got its hardest workout yet for snow. We are getting dumped on and it is not light and fluffy. This made the old girl work but we got it done. This was the first time. I have since been out again and probably one more time before the day is through!
