Alex first grading attempt

Alex tried grading a piece of the path in front of our campsite, and I think he did pretty good on his first try.  He really needed to stand on the blade to weigh it down but I wanted him to concentrate on everything else on his first try.  Not bad!!

More fun on day 2 of the show

Day 2 went well, with plenty of driving for the tractors.  In the morning my sons Simplicity Broadmoor and my nephews Allis Chalmers B207e got some driving time in, and in the evening my Sovereign got a workout hauling around a hay wagon with 20 people!  

Day 1 of tractor show goes pretty good!

Today was officially the start of the tractor show.  Didn't take as many photos as usual as I was walking with the kids a lot while they drove their tractors.  However, some highlights were meeting Dave from the Simplicity/AC tractor website I frequent, who came from Canada to check out the show.  The kids drove several times in groups with each other, but we got a lot of attention when I had Izzy on her Simplicity 515 Serf, Olivia on her 616 Yeoman, Alex on his Broadmoor, Mandy on her 535 Serf, and Abby on her 717 Broadmoor.  That was a lot of old Simplicity steel parading by!  It was fun seeing them all run together.  Good first day, everything ran great and we had fun!

Simplicity Parade

Today three of the kids had their tractors going at the same time.  It will be easier to do this when they can all reach the clutch and brake!  It was a little hectic, but they got plenty of looks at the show grounds.  Show starts tomorrow!!

Ready for the tractor show!

Ok, as of today all 9 tractors are over at the show grounds!  They all got an oil change and a wash and are ready to be driven around and played with.  The Allis did a good job towing the 7016 over to the grounds, and so far everything is running good.  A little rain in the forecast tomorrow and Friday, but hopefully an overall good weather weekend is in store!! 

What a difference 6 years makes....

Alex has had his tractor since he was three years old.  He is ten now, and it is fun to see the difference in him through the years.

Emma and her 738 Broadmoor

Today I started taking over some tractors for the big show next weekend.  Emma, my oldest, doesn't do much with her Simplicity Broadmoor anymore, but today she helped get it over to the show grounds.  She also sat on it for a bit, of course only to use her iPhone!!

Mandy gets in on the fun

The kids wanted a fire tonight so I had Mandy use her tractor to get the wood up to our burning area.  The little 5 horse engine in her Simplicity Serf 535 had no trouble pulling it up the incline.  

Olivia's Simplicity Yeoman 616 is back up and running!

Even though the grass was really dry so didn't strip real well, I finally got the coil replaced in my daughter's 616 and it got to mow our yard for the first time.  This tractor has been a workhorse since getting it for her so I am glad it is back up and running strong.
